It's Fearless Friday and a great time to share a powerful analogy and metaphor for how we communicate with one another.
In this edition of Your Mojo Minute, I talk about the idea of throwing pebbles, rocks and boulders at the people that matter most in your world.
Communication is often lost when we don't see the perspective or lense in which each party sees the world through. You may think you just tossed over a pebble but the recipient took it on as a rock or even a boulder.
I share some best practices you can use in your communication. Not just with your beloved but in all your interpersonal connections.
You've got this!

In today's edition of Your Mojo Minute we'll dive into a truth most people have a hard time accepting.
If you are dealing with conflict, resentment and frustration with how some people are showing up in your life... there's a reason. Most people do not realize that how people show up in their life represents a mirror about how YOU are showing up.
For many, this is not an easy concept to wrap one's head around. We are all mirrors of one another.
We all reflect back an aspect of our personality. Be it good, bad or ugly.
Whatever you don't like about how someone is showing up for you...It's a reminder that there's that part of your within as well.
Clean that up and you'll find people will mirror that back to you.
Ah the dreaded, feared and enigmatic Friend Zone. That vast expanse beyond the outer rim of the relationship universe. A place where many men have witnessed their self esteem, self respect and masculinity vanish into the void without a trace.
To men, The Friend Zone might as well be the title of the most horrifying science fiction movie...Ever! Horrifying because it's real life and most guys don't know they're in the Friend Zone until it is too late. Only when he tries to make his move to amp up the sexual tension does he realize that there is none to be had! It's gone! I mean "distant eagle cry and tumble weed" gone.
Don't think for a moment that The Friend Zone is the exclusive domain of the shy, insecure "nice guys" trying to date or start a relationship. Hell n...
Alisa was busy collecting the papers and half empty water bottles around the big boardroom table as the last few of the team sauntered out the double glass doors. The Chicago skyline filled the big windows and the room was glowing as the sun began its morning trek across the sky.
The room was still electric with the excited energy the third quarter numbers represented. The board and shareholders are very pleased.
One of the glazed doors swung open and Terry, the company's CFO in his classic tweed jacket and bow tie popped his head in.
Alison then realized that her boss and company president was still in the room. He was leaning up against one of the large floor to ceiling windows gazing down at the streets below. It was Terry's second calling of his name that Bruce snapped ou...
Today I was reminded of just how far I've come and how far I have yet to go.
This morning I was at the gym hitting the settings to begin a cardio session on the elliptical machine. As I punched in my weight, time, resistance and incline, I had the thought,
Dude you've been going strong all week you deserve to take the foot off the gas. You've earned it!
There it was, complete with a rational reason to only do my cardio for just half my regular time. The excuse was hitting home as my brain was attempting to tell my body that it won't be as hard today.
Hell, it's only half the time man!
Then I snapped out of it! Shit! I am paying an elite professional body builder good money to train me to have the best physique of my life. My goal is to have the best body ever. I'm not a young buc...
"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place, and I don’t care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.
You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take and keep moving forward.
That’s how winning is done!
Now, if you know what you’re worth, then go out and get what you’re worth.
But you gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain’t you. You’re better than that!"
Between all the well meaning breakfast-in-bed disasters and dinners at the family restaurant. There's something she craves more than anything...
Her man to be a real man...Her champion!
It's true! Sure she loves the gifts and thoughtful projects from the kids, but at the end of the day, she really wants YOU to acknowledge her for all she has done for the kids, the family and the relationship.
Mother's Day is the day that all her efforts get the "official" appreciation they so deserve.
There's no doubt that there are some very creative, thoughtful and carring children that know exactly how to make Mom's day truly special. However, for the most part, the day's success is going to fall on your lap.
As Dad or partner in this dynamic you'll most likley play a role in being the supervisor, the a...
